Close fight at the top of the table. Rogers secures his first victory of the season.

"Finally, first place" Joshua Rogers must have thought after a tough 30 minutes in Road Atlanta. The young Australian and title defender prevailed against his rivals, Sebastian Job and Alejandro Sánchez, in the feature race of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup. And he did so for the first time this season. For Spaniard Alejandro Sánchez it was the 6th podium in a row. For British Sebastian Job of Red Bull Racing Esports, 2nd place in the feature race and 3rd place in the sprint race signified the successful defence of his table-topping position.

Who, if not Rogers - pole position in qualifying.

We are five races into this year’s Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup and one thing is already quite certain: Joshua Rogers is almost guaranteed to win the qualifying crown. A breathtaking quota of five qualifying win is on the cards for the Australian.

Hold your breath for the sprint race.

The 15-minute sprint race in Road Atlanta was characterised by tight head-to-head action and high-precision overtaking manoeuvres. Sebastian Job, for example, displayed the full extent of his abilities when leaving two competitors in his wake in one single manoeuvre. The two, Martin Krönke and Jeff Giassi, had fought a thrilling fight for 3rd place up to this point, but in the end Joshua Rogers, who dropped back following a minor collision on race lap 1, passed both Krönke and Giassi, too. The German ultimately finished fifth at the end and his Brazilian racing colleague sixth, but it was the exciting fight at the front of the field that attracted attention until the very end. Shortly before the end, Spaniard Alejandro Sánchez overtook the Australian Joshua Anderson thereby securing important points in the title fight.

Top 3 compete for feature race victory.

Starting from third position, Sebastian Job managed to fight his way through to the leading pack. Joshua Rogers followed him almost move for move. In the fight for third place, Alejandro Sánchez fought an open battle with Dayne Warren right into the last corner. Brazilian Jeff Giassi finished fifth at the end of the feature race - his best result so far this season. Another impressive statistic: for Alejandro Sánchez, this third place was his sixth podium in a row. So it's no wonder that he is Sebastian Job and Joshua Roger's number one competitor. German Maximilian Benecke slipped to fourth place in the overall standings after this weekend. But he also remains within striking distance of the top 3.
