Round 7 + 8 in Monza, Italy.

The Porsche Supercup will conclude their 2021 season with a spectacular double header over one weekend – and will crown the overall champion as well as the winners of all classifications. The high-speed track in Monza is the perfect stage for this final!

Even before the last two rounds, this season has been full of special moments – starting with the premiere of the new, 510-hp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the first race in Monaco, which was also the first race in front of a crowd for a year. Then in Spa, we raced the 300th race in the Porsche Supercup since the start of the series in 1993. And now, the “finale furioso” in Monza with two races in less than 24 hours – what a breathtaking finish!

The last race weekend will show us who will take home the trophies. And it's going to be exciting until the very end – it's exactly what participants and fans want!

The grand finale of the 2021 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will be held as part of the 2021 Formula 1 Heineken Gran Premio d'Italia, from 10th to 12th September. The 32 top international drivers in the field will ensure that the tifosi in the stands will be thoroughly entertained, even before the start of Formula 1 at the venerable Autodromo Nazionale.

Because the F1 race weekend at Monza is so tightly scheduled, there can be no separate qualifying session for the second of the two Porsche Supercup races. The starting grid for both races will be determined in a single qualifying session: the fastest time of each driver decides their grid position for the first race on Saturday, their second fastest where they start in the second race on Sunday. This adds extra spice to qualifying – with longer stints and more traffic over the full 30 minutes of the session.

Who is closest to the 2021 title going into rounds 7 and 8? There are still 50 points up for grabs in the championship – so any of the top 6 drivers has a theoretical chance. For anyone else to wind up on top, however, leader #25 Larry ten Voorde (NLD/Team GP Elite) would have to have an awful weekend.

Simone Iaquinta took 3rd place at Zandvoort. A win at home in Monza would be the greatest!

In the Rookie Classification, Dorian Boccolacci could still knock Laurin Heinrich out of first place. In the ProAms, #15 Philipp Sager (AUT/Dinamic Motorsport) and #27 Roar Lindland (NOR/Nebulus Racing by Huber) will have to run the race of their lives to snatch the title from #5 Nicolas Misslin (MCO/Lechner Racing Middle East). The closest race is in the Team Classification, where four teams still have hopes of winning.

Free practice starts early on Friday afternoon at 12:30 pm (CEST). On Saturday morning, the Qualifying Session is at 10:25 am (CEST) – and only a couple of hours later, the first of the two races, at 6:20 pm (CEST). On Sunday at 12:30 pm (CEST) it’s time for Round 8 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2021.

You can watch the individual sessions live on TV. Check local details to see which station is broadcasting in your region. On Sunday afternoon, you can watch the race, as usual, on the F1 TV app, Sky Sport or Canal+.
