Porsche factory driver: Kévin Estre

It is safe to say that Kévin Estre was born with a passion for motorsports: his father had already raced in go-karts and single-seaters. So, it was almost natural for a young Estre to follow his footsteps at the tender age of four and take a seat behind a steering wheel. Kart sport becomes a constant in his childhood and youth, until he switched to single-seaters at 17. His dream back then: participating in Formula 1.

Just a year later, Kévin Estre recognized that he most likely cannot go further than Formula Renault. But it doesn’t stop him from still aspiring for a career in motorsport. Instead of sticking to single-seaters, Estre focuses on sports cars and gets a head start directly in the Porsche Carrera Cup in France.

The Frenchman proves his mettle in the Porsche One-Make Series with regular placements among the top 5 of the series and on the podiums of the overall rankings. 2011 he achieved the first spot of the overall ranking in the Porsche Matmut Carrera Cup in France, just as he does in the Porsche Carrera Cup in Germany 2013.

From then on, the speed picked up on his career: multiple race series in a year, several good finishes and finally, Porsche offering him a contract as factory driver. And that’s where he continues to race after each and every victory.

Victory drives me, and my goal for the next season is to win the overall victory in Le Mans with the 963!
