The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup consists of several different championships. The following is an overview of the different classifications as well as the Rookie and Junior programmes.
The Overall Classification is the series’ official driver championship.
The ProAm Classification is a separate classification in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. This classification has been created specifically for drivers without a professional motorsport background. The minimum age for entry into the ProAm Classification is 35 years.
Entry is based on the driver's sporting resume and requires the written consent of the Series Organiser. The ProAm classification will be run with a minimum of five and a maximum of eight registered drivers. Points will be awarded using the same scoring system as the Overall Classification.
Each entrant must submit an 'Application for Driver Entry' for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2023 Overall Classification for at least one driver before an application for a ProAm driver will be considered.
The Rookie Classification is a separate category from the Driver and Team Classification. A Rookie is a driver who is contesting their first season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, who has not participated in more than five rounds of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in all previous years and who has registered for the Overall Classification for the 2023 season. Drivers who compete in at least six rounds per season are eligible to score points. The age limit for the Rookie Classification is 25 years (the driver must not have reached their 26th birthday by the closing date for entries on 15 March 2023). The winner of the Rookie Classification will be the registered driver with the highest overall score from all races. The Rookie Classification is based on the overall classification. The winner of the 2023 Rookie Championship will also receive a cash prize of €30,000. This additional prize money will only be paid out on the condition that the driver re-enters the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in the following year and achieves the year-end classification. The prize money will be paid to the driver's team.
The Team Classification is independent from the Driver Classification. The points from two cars entered under the same entrant's licence will be added together to determine the team ranking. Points for the Team Championship will be awarded on the basis of the official race results, i.e. drivers in the Overall or ProAm Classification can also score points for the Team Championship. If more than two cars are entered for one licence, the team must name the two drivers to be included in the Team Classification for the corresponding Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup event before the end of the document submission process.
In 2023, Porsche AG will be awarding over €630,000 in prize money for the Driver and Team Classifications. The prize money will be paid out six weeks after the last race to the entrant named in the entry form. Please refer to the regulations for the applicable conditions. The champion of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will also receive a special prize.

Junior Development Programme.
The Porsche Motorsport Junior Programme was first introduced in 2012, and is used by Porsche AG to specifically promote young talent in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
Porsche Juniors are drivers who are nominated and sponsored by Porsche AG and who have successfully taken part in the Porsche AG evaluation process. Only Porsche Juniors may use the corresponding branding specified by Porsche AG on the vehicle and the official title of ‘Porsche Junior’ on communication material and clothing. Only one Junior can be registered as a driver per racing team, irrespective of the number of applicants and corresponding licences.
The development of young drivers is a top priority in the one-make series. For this reason, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup offers a Rookie Programme for up to eight drivers on a first come, first served basis.
In this programme, a dedicated and experienced race car driver provides individual support on and off the track - all integrated into the regular season. To be eligible for the Rookie Programme, the driver must meet the following criteria:
Be a Rookie according to the sporting regulations
Have submitted a completed “Application for Driver Entry” as a Permanent Driver and the appropriate entry fee
Agree to participate in at least six competitions
Not be a member of the Porsche Motorsport Junior Programme
The strongest contestant in the Rookie Programme will receive a special prize in kind. To receive the full support of the programme, the driver must:
Participate in all mandatory programme elements specified by the Series Organiser or its nominated representative
Take part in at least six competitions
Ensure peak physical and medical condition
Comply with the programme’s code of conduct
All results from each race will be taken into account for the end of year standings. There are no void results. The driver nominated for the overall or ProAm Classification at the time of registration must participate in a minimum of six races in order to be considered for the end of year standings.
The winner of each classification will be the registered driver with the highest total points score from all classification rounds. The winner of the 2023 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will be the registered driver with the highest total points score from all races in the Overall Classification.
