Porsche Junior Driver: Matteo Cairoli

A life on the racetrack.

Matteo Cairoli's career in motorsport began in Formula racing, but the Italian quickly switched into other fields: At 16-years-old, he received his racing license. With that, he took part in two races of the Formula Renault and participated in the Formula 3. In 2014, he switched to GT sports and participated in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy. Despite it being his first season in a GT vehicle, he won six of fourteen races and scored the championship title.

The excellent performance of the Italian was reason for Porsche to add him to the Porsche Junior 2014 shoot-out. Here, he also shone with his performance – and was chosen as the Junior 2015. But he did not rest on his laurels: In the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup of the same year, he won the first spot of the Rookie classification. A year later it was the second spot of the championship.

I aim to perform at my best to achieve my future goals.

Always willing to learn

Matteo Cairoli himself said that he is learning from one race to the next, and that is clearly visible in his career. With each year in motorsport, he participates in more international competitions and does well in doing so. In the past year, he participated in the GT category of the FIA World Endurance Championship amongst others.
