Italy at its fastest: Dinamic Motorsport.
A few questions for the team manager.
Ciao Francesco!
You are the new Team Manager for Dinamic in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. How do you feel?
I feel great! We have an amazing team and everybody is very motivated and focused. This season we are looking for redemption after a tough last year for us. Everything looks promising.
Gianmarco has recently rejoined Dinamic Motorsport in the Supercup as the reigning champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia. Can you tell us more about the decision to bring him back on board?
Well, we really want to be a top team again. And to be a top team, we need to have excellent drivers. Gianmarco is a valuable asset together with Jaap van Lagen and Giorgio Amati. We think that with this brand new driver line-up, we are ready to bring home good results this season. Plus it is always nice to have young talents in the team, because Rookies like Giorgio can benefit from the great experience of our older veteran drivers.
Dinamic successfully competed in a few series last year, such as the Nürburgring NLS competition. How does this experience influence your team's approach to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup?
Yes, in the past we've been competing more and more in series such as the GT World Challenge and NLS, and this has had a positive effect on our approach to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Even though we are driving different cars, we can use this experience as a valuable lesson that will also benefit us in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup competitions. Ultimately, we're trying to get the best out of each series we race in and adapt our skills to be in the best possible shape for other races.
What do you think sets Dinamic Motorsport apart from the rest of the field this season?
Well, first of all we have a long history in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. But most importantly, we're a big family in the racing environment and it's always great fun to be around our drivers, engineers and mechanics. There's no hierarchy, no first driver and no second driver. We all work together and try our best to take home the trophy at the end.
The 2023 calendar again features two races in Italy. What’s your favourite circuit – Imola or Monza? And why?
It feels really good to be racing here in Italy, both at Monza and Imola. It is really exciting and challenging at the same time, we really have to perform well on both circuits. We also do it for our fans, most of whom are Italian and give us a lot of support at the track. So we give it our all here!
Thanks a lot for the talk, Francesco!
