Round 2 in Spielberg, Austria.

On June 25, the 2021 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will start the first of two rounds at the Red Bull Ring. Some of the drivers have already raced on the circuit this year, as part of the national Porsche one-make cups. Will this give them an edge?

Round 2 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the Formula 1 Grosser Preis der Steiermark is a stark contrast to the narrow streets of Monaco from Round 1. The layout of the relatively short Alpine circuit is designed for high speed. With fast straights between the 10 sometimes tight corners, the Red Bull Ring will warm fans’ hearts, but also the engines and brake discs on the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
#17 Harry King (GBR/Parker Revs Motorsport) won both races in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2021 here. In the 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, the two "Huber Boys" #28 Leon Köhler and #29 Laurin Heinrich (DEU/Nebulus Racing by Huber) took the prize. But how will they hold up in the highly competitive field of the Porsche Supercup?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup teams perform at the Red Bull Ring. Unlike in Monaco, a few drivers have already raced the new 911 GT3 Cup here this year. I guess we will see what this preparation is worth – I'm very excited!
