The sun bathes the scene in warm light, a protective halo provides shade to those cool eyes. There’s no room for distractions.

 

It’s a surrealistic and intense photo. Enrapturing the audience. We’d rather not be an opponent on the receiving end of this intense stare. But it would be interesting to know what was going through Porsche driver André Lotterer’s head just that moment, seconds before the race was about to start. His eyes reveal nothing.
