In the shadow of a fiery giant.

When the lights of the Autódromo Miguel E Abed. give a go for the race start of the next double header on Saturday, June 19, it will be the sixth performance of the Formula E in Mexico. The stage for the race this year is set in close proximity to the city of Puebla, and thus at the base of the famous Popocatépetl volcano. The metropolis housing 1.5 million in the heart of Mexico is considered the bridge between the “old” and the “new” Mexico: It unites traditional arts and crafts with modern industry. The colorful old town of Puebla is an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

In the Autódromo Miguel E. Abed, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team drivers need to show the whole range of their abilities. Beside the high-speed passages, 15 curves await André and Pascal on the 2.9 kilometer (1.8 miles) long circuit. The driving direction of the technically demanding course is counterclockwise. Particularly the contorted first part and the long-drawn last curve promise thrilling racing moments. So, both races will require not only the correct pace, but also a fitting technique. Both, André and Pascal, have proven throughout the season that they possess both.

Not only the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team can gear up for two thrilling races, but the fans as well. Even if there’s a 5-hour time difference between Germany and Mexico, it will be worth pulling an all-nighter: Because both events will be available on live TV.
