Formula E: Accelerate

Formula E seeks electric racing stars of the future in new esports competition

The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team have returned to virtual world of racing as part of Formula E’s new eSports competition, Formula E: Accelerate. Over 6 races, 24 of the best Sim Racers from the world of motorsport and esports are competing against one another in a simulated racing experience using the rFactor2 software. Blending the real and virtual worlds together, competitors will have to master real ABB FIA Formula E challenges like energy management and attack mode during each E-Prix.

Virtual racers Marius Golombeck and Jaroslav Honzik (aka Jardier) will be competing for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team in this exciting virtual series. Marius and Jaroslav will battle it out against 22 other racers for a prize pool of €100,000 and the ultimate Formula E driving experience.

Round 1 of Formula E: Accelerate took place last Thursday in a tightly contested battle on the virtual streets of New York City. After a close qualifying, Marius and Jaroslav drove strong races respectively, with Marius coming home with our first points in P6, which was later elevated to P5 after post-race penalty for a competitor.

All races will be streamed live from 20:00 CET on Formula E’s social and streaming platforms.
