Official test days in Valencia.

The year 2020 is coming to an end, the new Formula E season is in the starting blocks. Before the season starts in January 2021, tests will take place this weekend.

I’m looking forward to the test at Valencia with high hopes.

André Lotterer

The official test days in Valencia can already be called a little tradition in the context of the Formula E. This year, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team will be going to Spain for the second time. From 28th November to 1st December, the two Porsche drivers André Lotterer and Pascal Wehrlein will be doing their laps on the Ricardo Tormo circuit to collect further important data.

In that respect, the Valencia test is an important assessment of where we stand.

Again the official test days of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will bring together all 12 teams of the upcoming season. A total of 5 test sessions are planned for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team over the days. These sessions will give not only the drivers, but the entire team the opportunity to test the Porsche 99X Electric again under real racing conditions. During the short break of the season, the team worked continuously on the optimization of the race car – the engineers from Weissach were specially focused on the newly developed powertrain for the upcoming season. Now, for the first time since Berlin, they are eagerly looking forward to meet the competitors.

The Valencia test rings in the coming seventh season. The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team will start with a double-header in Santiago on January 16th and 17th, 2021. The entire team is excited about Season 7 and the challenges ahead – with this level of anticipation, the New Year can' t come soon enough.
