Critical stage of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup season begins.

We find ourselves at an important point in the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, because we are exactly halfway through the season. Following spectacular races in Zandvoort, Barcelona, Donington Park, Silverstone and Road Atlanta, the Red Bull Racing Esports driver, Sebastian Job, heads the table. Closely followed by last year's winner, Joshua Rogers of VRS Coanda Simsport. The Spaniard, Alejandro Sánchez from MSi Esports, is holding third place after impressive performances in recent races: six consecutive podium finishes highlight his ambitions.

Battling for every place.

After half the races, it is clear that all the drivers have to push themselves to their absolute limit in every race. A perfect start, overtaking manoeuvres in the final bend or the fastest times in qualifying. Every championship point is hard-fought. However, what is of course highly demanding for the drivers does offer simracing fans and spectators of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup stunning action every race day. You can never be sure what will happen during a race – except perhaps that Joshua Rogers will achieve the fastest time in qualifying.

Constantly performing at the highest level.

Of course, the championship leaders are showing what they are capable of, week in week out. But five races in the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup have also shown that the drivers’ performance levels have once again increased, compared to last season. Because last year’s top 20 drivers, as well as those celebrating their début season, are all demonstrating what they are made of, week after week. Max Benecke from Team Redline, for example, who is in fourth place in the overall table. He started the race in Zandvoort without any points, but made up for this with a double victory in Barcelona. And in the last race at Road Atlanta, the German once again managed to earn some points, after finishing outside the top 10 in qualifying. While drivers such as Dayne Warren, Jeff Giassi, Tommy Østgaard, Kevin Ellis Jr, Sindre Setsaas and Brian Lockwood are also showing their mettle every single week.

Trailblazing race at the Brands Hatch Circuit?

Saturday 15 August sees the start of the second half of the 2020 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup season. Of course, we simply cannot assume that the championship will be decided that weekend. But with a good performance, Sebastian Job can increase his lead over his rivals. Or will we see defending champion, Joshua Rogers, stir up a storm at the top of the table with his second victory of the season at the Brands Hatch Circuit?

Tight schedule until the season finale in Monza.

Simracing fans and spectators can now look forward to the coming weeks. Because after Brands Hatch, highlights such as Spa-Francorchamps and the outstanding races in Le Mans and at Nürburgring are on the agenda, as well as the grand finale in Monza. As always, the races will be streamed live on the Porsche YouTube and Twitch channels. The action begins on Saturday 15 August with the race at the Brands Hatch Circuit. #jointherace #simracing
