#CATCHUP with that #HURRYWURST

If there is one thing we love more than motorsports, it’s the joy of sharing our passion. So, even though our fans can’t join us in the amazing city of Berlin for the most intense finale in motorsport history, we want to share at least a little bit of the Berlin spirit with our fans. So here it is: The iconic Berlin Currywurst – the tasty soul food of Germany’s capital, definitely worth serving during the finale.

Ingredients:

Currywurst

  • 4 Currywurst, with/without intestines, 120-150g

Curry-Sauce

  • 1 bottle tomato ketchup (750ml)

  • 2 small onions (white, finely chopped)

  • 1 shot of oil

  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (dark)

  • 1 tablespoon honey (fluid)

  • 2 tablespoons curry powder (medium hot)

  • 1 shot of Worcestershire sauce

  • A pinch of chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon apple sauce (fine)

Recipe:

To start with the perfect set up, cut along the length of the #Hurrywurst. This will push it to leave its comfort zone and peak in performance. Be sure to switch its lanes multiple times, so the #Hurrywurst won’t do a burnout.

All eyes on the second team player – the curry-sauce makes heads turn. Start the qualifying by stewing the onions in the oil, until they’re glassy and boost everything with ketchup. After qualifying, the competition gets heated, since balsamic vinegar, honey, curry powder and Worcestershire sauce all join the race and compete for the top. Better not overheat during the hot phase, rather let everything simmer. Make sure that balsamic vinegar has a good energy management, otherwise it would leave the race too early. A yellow flag forces it to slow down and take it’s time to boil away. Switch to Attack Mode and shake up the field. As the race is nearing its end, apple sauce and chili powder try to take the lead in a last ditch effort and spice up the competition at the top. Added water changes the track conditions completely, as the heated final phase is now about adjusting your race-line and strategy.

Secure yourself a 1st plate finish with your very own #Hurrywurst. Get some finishing livery touch on the #Hurrywurst, by adding curry and chili powder on top of it.

Your meal is ready to be served with a bun or French fries!

Enjoy the taste of Berlin.
