Colours make the racing car. The virtual 911 RSR as homage to the 917 K.

The 24h race of Le Mans is one of the toughest races in the world. The 13.6 km long track demands everything from both the driver and the racing car. Or as we at Porsche would say: welcome to our comfort zone.

Due to the current situation the FIA WEC race cannot take place in France on June 13th as planned. The real race event was postponed to September. Nevertheless, we are celebrating a special anniversary on 13 June. Because almost 50 years ago Hans Herrmann and Richard Atwood in the red-white Porsche 917 K clinched the very first overall victory for Porsche at Le Mans.

Let’s celebrate, virtually

Let‘s celebrate the anniversary - virtually of course. At this year's virtual 24h of Le Mans on June 13th, Porsche will start with four factory teams – all driving a Porsche 911 RSR. Every racing car has a special colour scheme: the four liveries were inspired by the historical Salzburg red. Our virtual homage to Porsche's first overall victory at the Sarthe.

24h of simracing on the highest level.

At the original date of the 24h race the virtual race will now happen. The Porsche factory teams will start on 13 June with four Porsche 911 RSR models. Every driver setup consists of two factory drivers and two simracers. The drivers practice in joint training sessions and prepare themselves and their car setup for the big event. The race and other exciting content will be shown live on Porsche YouTube and Twitch channels on June 13.
