Fighting spirit in Hong Kong.

The fast start in virtual Hong Kong was followed – just as quickly – by chaos in the line-up at the fourth FIA ABB Race at Home Challenge. The two TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team drivers were the main victims.

The Formula E pilots have proven several times that even in the FIA ABB Race at Home Challenge they don't give up easily – illustrating right from the start of the racing series that this is real motorsport in a virtual guise. And that didn't change all the way through to the fourth race in Hong Kong. After a quick start, the line-up practically flew down the long straight to the first corner. For many drivers, this was a chance to make up positions – but also a time where gaps could be overestimated. The latter was the case in Hong Kong: as the pack shot towards the 180° corner, it came to a braking halt in the form of a mass collision.

Both TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team drivers Neel Jani and André Lotterer were hit particularly hard. After several unintentional contacts and a spin by Neel Jani, both fell to the back of the line-up. Nevertheless, these two pilots showed fighting spirit, managing to make up some positions thanks to a fast pace. Neel Jani finished 16th, his teammate André Lotterer crossed the finish line in 15th place.

The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team notched up a success in the Challenger race: Joshua Rogers already showed a strong performance in qualifying, taking pole position in his Porsche 99X Electric. The e-athlete engaged in thrilling duels throughout the race, crossing the finish line in 2nd position.

Now it's time to look ahead – ensuring that the Formula E drivers capitalize on the momentum gained on the Challenger Grid, preparing to attack again next Saturday. That's when both Porsche pilots will be lining up for the fifth FIA ABB Race at Home Challenge.
