Repeated good results in the FIA ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge.

Another race of the FIA ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge is over for both TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team drivers André Lotterer and Neel Jani. And both continued building on their good results.

Both Porsche drivers know from personal experience just how tough virtual motorsport can be. Joy and sorrow are just as close in the digital world as they are on real racetracks. So it’s all the more gratifying that both could experience more joy than sorrow just past Saturday.

The third race of the FIA ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge took us to the challenging Monaco city course. There too the top positions are hard-fought over – something that was noticeable directly after the start: Several collisions occurred in the mid-field directly in the first curve. The at first crowded field was spread wide due to multiple accidents. Both Porsche drivers escaped the tumult in the middle and managed to gain on positions. Neel Jani made clever use of the first chicanes and again exhibited a high pace. He increased the pressure immediately and pushed forward into fourth position. He maintained his good spot all the way across the finishing line, repeating his successes of the past race. And once more, he managed to collect important points, this time in race 3. Team colleague André Lotterer was involved in thrilling duels throughout the entire race for a spot among the top 10. Finally, he prevailed and finished on position 7, gaining his first points.

It was a successful weekend for both TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team drivers. Both continued to build on the good results of the previous races and collected more points for the entire team. But there isn’t much time for Neel Jani and André Lotterer to recover. Because on May 16, it’ll be time to say “We go green“ again – virtually, of course.
