Heritage and virtual world – with a perfect partnership.

Every so often, there are connections that are special. Such is the one between Porsche and TAG Heuer. From this, a true partnership has evolved.

Being innovative and identifying trends. Both, Porsche and TAG Heuer, have more than ample experience in these fields. The passion for motorsport has united these companies for decades – and recently, this union has seen a revival: the moment TAG Heuer became a sponsor for the newly established TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. Together, they successfully started into Formula E, now they’ve set their eyes on the world of Esports. Why? Because TAG Heuer is now also the title sponsor for the Porsche Esports Supercup, which is going to kick off the new season under the official name Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup. And it will challenge the world’s best sim racers.

The appeal of the first online one-make series by Porsche was literally brought to the next level with this partnership in the virtual motorsport world. What draws attention to the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, beside the doubled prize money of now 200.000 U.S. dollars? In the upcoming season, the drivers will continue their virtual battle for victories and points on the road to the championship on the most renown race tracks of the world. Already the fans can gear up for some exciting races: The impressive field is brimming with top-notch drivers.

Last Saturday, the pre-season test took place on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – virtually, of course. May is when it gets down to business. The first round is due to take place on May 2. That’s when the sim racers are going to start their battle for points on the Circuit Park Zandvoort. One thing’s for sure: It’s due to be a thrilling season – partially, because the next level has been achieved with a partnership.
