Traditional test day in Marrakesh.

Every race car is different and no racing series can be compared to its sister event – this especially applies to Formula E, as two Porsche pilots are now discovering in the Marrakesh E-Prix.

As the first all-electric racing series in the world, Formula E is waiting to serve up regular new challenges for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. Every race brings new requirements and different race situations, even for the two experienced Porsche pilots, Neel Jani and André Lotterer.

Now Thomas Preining and Frédéric Makowiecki can experience what several rounds under real conditions in the Porsche 99X Electric feels like at the rookie test day in Marrakesh. Test and development driver Thomas Preining as well as Porsche works driver Frédéric Makowiecki are hitting the track at Sunday's test for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. This was the first time in the Porsche 99X Electric for both pilots, and the test was special too. After an intense day, the pair were more than satisfied: in the three hours they were able to gain experience on the challenging 2.97-kilometer Formula E course to cover 172 rounds in total in this time.

An extremely successful day.

In the sessions, Thomas Preining and Frédéric Makowiecki were able to get familiar with the car and the associated technology, and gather further important data and knowledge for the whole team. The traditional rookie test day was therefore a complete success for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team.
