Leading comfortably with 19 points, winning the Manufacturers' Championship in the last race of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship was almost certain for us. But at this year's "Motul Petit Le Mans" race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, it wasn't just about winning one title. We fought for a total of 3 Championships.

In addition to the almost certain Manufacturers' Championship, starting in the "Motul Petit Le Mans" race gave both our GT works teams – 911 RSR #912 and its sister car #911 – the opportunity to win the Teams' Championship in the GTLM class. And yet another title was about to be won in Atlanta: The driver teams Laurens Vanthoor/Earl Bamber in #912, and Nick Tandy/Patrick Pilet in #911 went into the race as leaders of the drivers' standings. Sporting the iconic Coca-Cola livery, both their Porsche 911 RSR started the race after a promising and tight qualifying from position 4 and 7. And immediately set out to impressively demonstrate, what important role consistency and steady nerves play in endurance racing. The two teams consistently set good lap times over the entire 10 hours. And eventually finished the race 5th and 6th. Securing all three championship titles in the GTLM class. A proper farewell for the outgoing generation of the 911 RSR - which raised the bar quite a bit for our next IMSA season. We can't wait for this new challenge to begin.
