Good vibes in Marrakech.

Once again André Lotterer managed to score a very good result during the Qualifying, getting in on the shoot-out for the Super-Pole. The Porsche driver performed well and could start from third place in the fast-paced race in Marrakech.

Multiple factors play a role in the world’s first fully electric race series. Energy management is doubtlessly chief among them. The Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E Team expected a fast fifth race in Morocco – and that’s what happened. The battle for the top spots was tough and André Lotterer was in the thick of it: With a great start from third place, the Porsche pilot managed to closely tail the two other positions and faced fierce battles for a spot on the podium. Throughout a fast-paced race that progressed without any greater incidents, the Porsche pilot found a good rhythm, saved energy and still launched attacks on the second place – all right off the bat. But in the end, André Lotterer too had to sacrifice a few positions on the demanding course. Still, he managed to finish a good race among the Top 10: He was met with the checkered flag on eighth place.

Throughout the race, his team colleague Neel Jani could catch up on a few positions at the back of the group, managing to fully complete the E-Prix in Marrakech. Finishing the race on position 18, the second pilot of the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team finished among Top 20 and gained precious experience. The data Neel Jani collected throughout the fifth race of the season is incredibly relevant for the entire team. And the experience won in real race conditions will surely pay off in Rome – for that is where the next race of the season is due to take place.
