Drama at Laguna Seca – Job to take double win – Championship wide open

Laguna Seca (US)

Drama unfolds in the penultimate Porsche Esports Supercup Round at Laguna Seca. Championship leader Joshua Rogers (AU) takes a tumble in the standings after multiple incidents in both the sprint and the main race.

Sebastian Job (GB) takes home the victory in both sprint and main race, becoming the first ever driver to repeat a sweep of sprint and main race victories. Job manages to surpass Mitchell deJong (US) for the 3rd position in the championship and now trails Maximilian Benecke (DE) by just 24 points.

Benecke himself had a good round with a fourth and third position finish in both the sprint and the main race respectively. Following the dire result for Joshua Rogers the gap between the two drivers has shrunk to just 34 points.

The first four drivers still have chances to win the inaugural Porsche Esports Supercup Title. The points gap from championship leader Joshua Rogers to Mitchell deJong in fourth, adds up to just 65 points.

The season finale will be held on September 28th, 2019 at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
