Recode the Race

A new generation of drivers

For over 70 years, Porsche drivers have been breaking new ground around the world:
Icons like Umberto Maglioli claiming victory at Targa Floria in 1956, Jacky Ickx at his legendary Le Mans 1977 victory or René Metge winning the Paris-Dakar-Rallye 1984 to name a few. Endurance or sprint races, GT, electric or hybrid – every decade our drivers rewrite the history books. Now, with the new Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team, we’re looking at a new generation of athletes ready to write the next chapter.

Recode the Race

In the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team we merge more than 70 years of motorsport expertise with Coanda Simsport’s virtual expertise. This form of motorsports is more than just racing in a digital environment. To be successful in such a highly competitive field, the new generation of drivers needs to adapt. They must recode their minds, their routine, and their focus to stand out. Recode the Race is not about participating in virtual racing but rather, setting the bar in this exciting reality.

The bigger the competition, the better.

Sim racing’s easy access makes it one of the most competitive leagues in motorsport. Moreover, the optimisation of various vehicle setups and configurations requires no pit crew and is mostly done by the drivers themselves. Sim racers don’t have to spend as much money on their motorsport passion in the virtual world. Instead, they invest significantly more time on the track than their colleagues in analogue motorsport, which raises the bar at the top level for every competitor. The learning curve is steep, the interest in virtual motorsports is growing and the gaps between top racers on the track are closing.  The competition on the racetracks is bigger and tougher than ever before. Welcome to our comfort zone.
