At the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, the drivers are preparing for the race to the top after Monaco. Good overtaking opportunities, a fantastic mountain backdrop and tens of thousands of fans in the stands set the scene for thrilling customer motorsport.
The Porsche Supercup will be held for the 19th time at the high altitude circuit in the Styrian Alps. The circuit, which has been modified and adapted several times, mixes racing tradition with modern track design. And thanks to its many grandstand seats, the atmosphere is always electric. Last year the Grand Prix weekend was the biggest sporting event of the year in Austria with 303,000 spectators in attendance. The perfect setting for an exciting weekend of racing.
Up, down and above all: forward.
With fast straights reaching speeds of up to 235 km/h and plenty of right turns, this track demands precision from the drivers and endurance from the tyres. The Red Bull Ring underscores its unique character as an alpine circuit with significant elevation changes totalling 65 metres and the resulting ups and downs. Last year, Dylan Pereira scored an outstanding start-finish victory here, much to the delight of his Austrian team BWT Lechner Racing. This year, the three Lechner drivers will have to prove again if they can make the most of their home advantage. After all, many of their competitors also have plenty of track experience here or victories under their belts – like #25 Larry ten Voorde (NLD/Team GP Elite) in the 2021 Supercup, among others.

32 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars battling it out on the track is a sight to be seen, even on TV - so be sure to tune in! It all starts with the open practice session on Friday at 6:30 pm CEST.
