Team Dinamic Motorsport – the fast Italians.
A conversation with the team representative.
Ciao Davide,
Can you say a few words about each of your drivers, and what makes the team special this season?
Simone Iaquinta is our top driver, and after over a year working together in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, we are more than ready to fight for podium finishes in every race. Philipp Sager is the most experienced driver in the team, and his goal is the same as in the last three seasons: to win the ProAm championship. Our young gun this season is Daniele Cazzaniga, who is supported by the other two drivers and the whole team, with their experience, so that he can get the best out of the car and drive consistently at a high level.
What is your verdict after a whole year with the new Porsche GT3 Cup? What is the potential for 2022 now that you’ve gathered more data?
The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is a fantastic racing car, and it’s very fast. We picked up a lot of experience last season and we’re ready to compete with our drivers in all of the classifications. We’re highly motivated and will try to achieve the best possible results.
This season Porsche is going to implement an environmental officer in the Porsche Supercup. What role does sustainability play in your team?
We pay a lot of attention to sustainability, and mainly buy equipment that we can reuse. We try not to waste plastic or other materials, so we welcome Porsche's plan to focus even more on sustainability in the racing series.
This season, we will race on two legendary Italian circuits in Imola and Monza. What are you most looking forward to, and what is your message to the tifosi who will be there, cheering you on?
We’re ready for anything and really looking forward to the first race of the season. Imola will be interesting because we have a lot of data from the predecessor model of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the 991, but not much data from the 992, except what we collected at the official season test. Everyone is fast at Monza, which is why the track is also called the "Temple of Speed". It will be a real challenge, but we’re ready and looking forward to it. As for the tifosi, I can't wait until we can finally celebrate real motorsport again this year, together with our Italian supporters and without any restrictions.
Looking at the 30 year anniversary: Tell us your favourite story from the past Supercup seasons - which memory particularly stuck in your mind and why?
Our own podium finishes over the last few years are of course very important for me and the team. However, the race weekend in Monaco 2019 made a particularly lasting impression on us. Mikkel Overgaard Pedersen was really close to victory on this special weekend, but we also did a great job as a team. We had to rebuild the entire chassis of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup within a day and a half. Everyone from the team was instrumental in this, and the car was ready on time. What a weekend!
Thanks and good luck, Davide!
