A Porsche 911 GT3 Cup passes the banked turn Hugenholtzbocht of Circuit Zandvoort, with the headline "Tarzan roept"

9/1/2021

Round 6 in Zandvoort, The Netherlands.

Are you ready to try something new in the 2021 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season? Then strap in for extreme G-forces on the banked turns in our first ever race at the Circuit Zandvoort.

After the overcast Ardennes roller coaster in Spa, it's straight on to the Dutch dunes, along with Formula 1, from 3rd to 5th September. The Circuit Zandvoort has been extensively renovated and is ready to welcome us back to its intensely banked turns – at 18° the steepest corners on the racing calendar. This means the 32 starters in the field will be pressed into the seats of their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup when they accelerate out of the Arie Luyendijkbocht towards the home straight at well over 200 kph.

Representing the Netherlands in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup fills us with pride, and we're not here just for fun. On our home track in Zandvoort more than anywhere else, we're flying the Dutch flag high!

Robert van TeijlingenOfficial Representative GP Elite
The local heroes GP Elite are looking forward to making the most of home advantage in Round 6 of the Supercup, which will be held as part of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2021. Most of the 70,000 fans admitted each day traditionally wear Oranje, and will be making noise for their compatriots, including #25 Larry ten Voorde and #24 Max van Splunteren. Whether the drivers can turn this crowd energy into victory remains to be seen. Because there are other drivers who like this track, too: Porsche Junior #2 Ayhancan Güven (TUR/BWT Lechner Racing) won the 2nd round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland here a few weeks ago.
