Shoulders squared.

Focused. Concentrated. The audience practically breathing down the neck, but everything is poised: Similar to a track athlete, arms braced on the thighs, gaze on the starting line. There, where the French flag waits to open another chapter in the history of Le Mans. As soon as it flutters through the air, our unknown driver will burst into motion and sprint to their Porsche race car. Fired up by the masses standing so close back then that it seems surreal. He’s just mere moments away from a deciding stint – for the better or worse, victory or defeat. What may seem impossible today was the norm during the historical Le Mans start. But not just yet. For now, it’s still: shoulders squared in Le Mans.
