Virtual victory – real emotions.

The Porsche Esports team wins the virtual 24h of Le Mans 2020 in the GTE class on its debut. The winning car, the 911 RSR #93, was driven during the race by Porsche works driver Nick Tandy, Porsche Junior Ayhancan Güven and the two simracers Joshua Rogers and Tommy Østgaard.

Pole position. Fastest lap. Victory.

This race weekend was almost too good to be true for the four drivers of the #93. At the qualifying on Friday evening, our simracer Joshua Rogers didn't give the competition a chance, securing pole position with a fabulous time of 3:46:550 minutes. His teammate Mitchell deJong drove the 911 RSR #91 to 2nd place. The French simracer Jeremy Bouteloup finished 4th in the #92. David Williams in the #94 achieved 6th place in qualifying, underlining the dominance of the Porsche Esports team.

After the first hour of the race, it became clear to all involved that the car which would go on to win would be the 911 RSR #93. Even until shortly before the end of the race, a double podium for Porsche was in sight but this ended abruptly due to connection problems. Tommy Østgaard crossed the finish line in first place with a one-lap lead after 24 hours in the Porsche 911 RSR #93, thus securing victory in the GTE class for the team. Joshua Rogers achieving the fastest lap during the race was without a doubt the icing on the cake of this victory. The perfect race weekend.

A new motorsport format with new heroes.

The virtual 24h of Le Mans showed that Porsche Motorsport have the same passion, professionalism and commitment in Esports as racing in real life. The Porsche Esports team would like to thank all partners, sponsors, drivers and the entire team behind the scenes for this great race weekend.

The next highlight is in sight.

For the simracers of the Porsche Esports Team, the action continues next weekend. In the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, the drivers will once again compete for VRS Coanda Simsport against the world's best simracers. The track: Le Mans. The races will be shown live on Saturday on the Porsche YouTube and Twitch channels.
