Here’s how spectacular reliability can be: our technology for long-distance races.

The 24h of Le Mans and 24h of Nürburgring. The two most demanding long-distance races in the world. And this year, they are taking place back to back.

For our teams, this means continual pressure and working at their personal limit. For our race cars, it is simply the toughest endurance test that motorsport has to offer.

At the 24h of Le Mans, therefore, only one vehicle can be considered eligible: the spearhead of our GT family. The 911 RSR. A race car in which the sole objective of every single component, every function, every detail is to support the sophisticated overall concept. Specially designed for the regulations of the FIA WEC, North American IWSC and 24h of Le Mans long-distance series, it is the most uncompromising GT long-distance car we have ever built. And now one of the most successful: in our 70th anniversary year, it earned us a Le Mans double victory in the GT class.

At the 24h of Nürburgring, we are also competing with another legend: the 911 GT3 R. The most extreme version of the road-approved Porsche 911 GT3 RS. And our GT long-distance car for the entire GT3 class racing series. Manthey-Racing secured overall victory with it as a works-supported team at the 24h of Nürburgring in 2018 after a nerve-racking head-to-head race through the night. What particularly distinguishes the 911 GT3 R? Its combination of superior handling, utter reliability and driver ergonomics that few other GT cars can offer.

With our 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R duo, we can confidently claim that our technology is not only up to the forthcoming challenge, but has also been designed for the very purpose of triumphantly surviving our weeks of endurance at the 24h of Le Mans and 24h of Nürburgring, together as #TeamPorsche.
