Joshua Rogers becomes inaugural Porsche Esports Supercup champion.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza – Saturday afternoon: one more qualifying run, one more sprint race followed by a main race to decide who becomes the inaugural Porsche Esports Supercup champion.

Joshua Rogers (AU) arrived at Monza with a small points lead over Maximilian Benecke (DE) with Sebastian Job (GB) and Mitchell deJong (US) making up the four drivers still in contention for the title.

A brilliant showcase of racing by all championship contenders left no room for discussion in the end as Maximilian Benecke took the race win, with Joshua Rogers following closely behind, not dropping enough points for Benecke to overtake him in the championship standings.

With 976 points and a true demonstration of his talent throughout the season, Joshua Rogers became the inaugural Porsche Esports Supercup champion with Maximilian Benecke in second and Sebastian Job in third.

“I think I can walk away from this season with my head held high – it’s been a brilliant experience and I can’t wait to do it all again next season,” said Rogers.

Porsche Esports Supercup extended for 2020 – new season kicks off in April: the 40 best simracers in the world will once again face each other in a ten-round season, competing on the most iconic tracks around the globe on iRacing.
