Nick Tandy

Porsche factory driver: Nick Tandy

For more than 25 years, Nick Tandy has been battling for podium finishes on various racetracks. He is no stranger to Porsche or the IMSA: from 2010 to 2012, he competed in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Championship and the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, where he regularly finished among the top three. From 2013 to 2020, Nick Tandy was active as Porsche factory driver, competing in the IMSA GT class.

Despite his successes, the British-born driver remained down-to-earth. To this day, he helps his father on the family farm and spends as much time as possible with his two children. But privately spending time away from the track? That is out of the question: Nick Tandy runs the Joe Tandy Racing (JTR) race team – once founded by his brother so that Nick could compete in the British Formula Ford Championship.

Now, the 38-year-old is back in the Porsche Penske Motorsport Team and ready to take on a new challenge: the GTP class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the Porsche 963.

Nick Tandy will be sharing the cockpit of the Porsche 963 #6 with two other drivers.

I may have had some time away, but I’m back and I plan that my success story so far with Porsche Motorsport is just the beginning.
